
2009 Press Release: Welcome, New Des Plaines Officials!

The City of Des Plaines welcomed newly elected officials at the
May 4, 2009 City Council Meeting as they were sworn by Judge Mathias
Delort. Pictured are scenes from the evening:

Moylan succeeds Mayor Tony Arredia who
served the City for ten years.

as he was unable to be present at the May 4, 2009 City Council

Outgoing Aldermen received clocks and Mayor Arredia was the
recipient of a sundial.

John Robinson is sworn in as Des Plaines 2nd Ward
Alderman by Judge Bruce Lester at the May 18, 2009 City Council
Meeting. Robinson will fill the vacancy occurring due to the
election of Marty Moylan as Mayor. Moylan previously served as the
2nd Ward Alderman.
